We were in bed by 9pm last night, as the weather had really come in and despite not doing anything all day, we were knackered.   Dark black clouds covering the mountains on our side of the fjord and a misty rain covered fog where we are heading today. As I woke this morning I was a little anxious as to what state Vango would be in.   Some of the downpours last night were torrential, mixed with constant rain all night.  T he only saving grace, if there is one, is that there is a light breeze, but of course while the rain persists, it won't help dry her out. So, no early start for us today, not even sure if we'll get away. Last thing we need is to get caught in rain and colder temperatures on this next mountain pass.  They are forecasting weather clearing to cloud this afternoon, with fine conditions tomorrow, but does that include the mountain passes? By 7.30am I'd made a visit to the toilet block and thrown some water over my face to wake me up, but then ...

"Hello children.   Today we're going to talk about Norway. Did you know that they have different kinds of animals in Norway?   One of them is the seagull, which you can find on the fjords"... "Or anywhere Peter is, miss" "Yes that's right...and why is that"? "Yes miss"  " Sheep, .....with bells on" "And why would sheep be wearing bells?   Would it be so they don't get lost in the fields"? " No miss.  It's so that they can join the noisy bloody seagulls to keep Peter awake" "Well done" " Just as well we don't have any train tracks here, isn't it"? "Well miss"..... Went to bed at 9pm. We went over to the loos at...

OMG...Wow that's amazing....Look at how big it is....that's incredible....it got to the stage today, where I just had to tell Julia to stop looking at me with my pants off.   Well....maybe not....but, the amount of times we were using those superlatives on our ride today, was unbelievable. The views at camp this morning.  Up at 4.46am and took the powerbank to the dishwashing/laundry area, where the only plugs were. Did some stretches and was joined not too long after by Julia.  H ad a cuppa and then got stuck into breakfast of fruit, cereal and yoghurt, before finishing with a coffee. Tent pack up went smoothly, but I left my bike computer in the tent inner, consequently we didn't have any idea of mileage today, though we did work it out later. Then we skipped camp. A word here about the lost speedo. I love how Pete just glosses over this major catastrophe, when in actual fact, it went something like this. We had just finished packing up the bikes when Pete sees...
